Where have I been?

Peach Pie I made over the summer. I didn’t have a recipe, just sort of “winged it”. Turned out great. I wish I had made notes of what I did haha.

I know. It’s been a while since you’ve heard from me. I can explain.

When I started this blog, I wanted a place to share my baking journey. Some of it would be the recipes I’ve made, some of it would be reviewing other peoples’ recipes and some of it would be testing out new kitchen equipment. Somewhere along the way, I lost sight of what I wanted to do and the blog turned into me sharing only my own recipes. Not that that’s a bad thing, but here’s the thing. I’m not a professional baker by any stretch of the imagination. I love to bake but I have no formal training and I have a full-time job that pays the bills.

I was stressed. I found I was no longer baking for the love it but baking what I thought other people would want. I needed time to figure out if I still wanted to do this blog. I needed time to just bake for me and my family. So I did. I made things that I enjoy (and have previously shared on this blog).

Which brings us to what’s next. I’m going back to the reason I made this blog to start. I’m going to share what I make, even if it’s a review of someone else’s recipe. I’m going to share the new equipment I try out. I’m going to share what’s going on in my kitchen.
